SJE Landscaping Solutions is based at 2 Church View, Marchwiel. Half the vans that go past your house in the morning are on their way somewhere else; ours are usually five minutes from the yard. If you want a quote, we can normally walk round the same day rather than booking you in for a fortnight's time.
Marchwiel gardens vary more than people expect. The older cottage plots off the main road come with brick boundary walls and mature trees that dictate where a patio can actually go, while the newer estates towards Cross Lanes tend to be flat, heavy clay and sit wet through winter. Both are fixable, they just need different work underneath.
We've turfed and drained lawns here, laid Raj Blend sandstone up the road in Cross Lanes and built composite decking over at Abenbury. Being this close also means the small stuff is easy — a gate that's dropped, a couple of panels down after a gale, a patio that needs re-pointing.

My Marchwiel lawn floods every winter. Can that be sorted?
Usually, yes. A lot of it round here is heavy clay with a compacted layer just under the turf, so the water has nowhere to go. We dig out, break up the pan, put in land drains or a soakaway where it's needed and then re-turf on a proper prepared bed.
We did exactly that on a lawn in the village and it drains properly now. It costs more than throwing new turf on top, but new turf on a wet base fails within a year.
How quickly can you come and quote?
In Marchwiel itself, usually the same day or the next. We measure up, talk through options and send a written price with the materials listed on it. There's no charge and no obligation.
Do you do small jobs, or only full gardens?
Both. A single dropped gate, a few fence panels after a storm or a bit of re-pointing on a patio are all fine, especially locally. You don't need a whole garden's worth of work to ring us.
