Rossett, LL12
Indian stone patios, sleeper retaining walls, fencing and decking across Rossett, Burton and Trevalyn — built for big, open gardens that take the weather.
Rossett & Burton
Rossett gardens are generally larger than the Wrexham average and a lot more open, which changes two things. Fencing takes real wind loading, so cheap posts and a shovel of dry mix won't do — posts go in concrete, properly deep, or you'll be paying twice. And on the bigger plots the boundary run is long enough that getting the line straight actually matters visually.
The other thing round here is water. Ground near the Alyn holds it, and a lot of gardens have a section that never really dries out. Any patio, decking or turf we lay gets the drainage dealt with first: a dug-out and compacted sub-base, falls set before a slab goes down, and land drainage or a soakaway if the site needs it.
We laid a raised Indian sandstone patio in Rossett with timber sleeper retaining walls, stone steps and gravel borders to turn a sloping section into two flat, usable levels. It's the pattern that suits a lot of the village: a solid terrace near the house, a step down, then lawn.
What We Do
Four trades, one team. Most Rossett jobs end up being two or three of these at once, which is exactly why it helps to have one crew doing the lot.

Local Team
Rossett is a straight run up from Marchwiel, so it's normal working area rather than an out-of-the-way job. That matters more on big gardens, where the difference between a good build and a cheap one is all in the part you can't see.
Based in Marchwiel and working across the borough. No travel charge added to Rossett jobs.
Open, windy boundaries need proper foundations. We don't dry-mix fence posts.

Questions
Anything not covered here, just ring and ask — you'll get one of us, not a call centre.
Yes, but the water has to be dealt with first or the patio will fail. Depending on the site that means excavating deeper, putting in a compacted stone sub-base that drains, adding land drains or a soakaway, and setting the falls so surface water runs away from the house.
If someone quotes you a patio on wet ground without mentioning any of that, be careful.
Concrete posts with rock-face gravel boards are the most durable option, and composite panels sit in them well. Close-board on timber posts is fine too, as long as the posts are decent and set in concrete rather than dry mix.
On long open runs we'd usually talk you out of lightweight lap panels — they don't survive a bad winter in the open.
That's a lot of our work. Timber sleeper or block retaining walls cut the slope into flat levels, with steps between them. You end up with a proper patio area, a level lawn and defined borders instead of one continuous fall.
Yes, all of them, plus Holt, Llay and Borras. It's all normal working area from Marchwiel and there's no extra charge for the distance.
