Rotten gates replaced in Rhosddu
Rotten gates stripped out and replaced with solid, well-hung timber gates.
The job
What we did in Rhosddu
The existing gates had rotted through, mostly at the bottom rail where water sits and never fully dries. Once that happens the frame loses its rigidity and the gate starts to rack out of square.
The old gates and their fixings were taken out completely, then new timber gates were built and hung on sound posts. Where posts have gone at ground level there is no point hanging a new gate on them.
Treated timber and proper ironmongery throughout, so these will stay square and keep latching properly rather than needing lifting every time.
