Picket fence and double gates in Caegwrle
An overgrown front hedge replaced with picket fencing, plus custom double gates at the rear.
The job
What we did in Caergwrle
The front hedge had outgrown its space and was taking constant work to keep under control. Taking it out and replacing it with picket fencing gave back the width it was stealing from the garden and ended the maintenance.
Concrete posts went in with picket panels between them — an open, traditional front boundary that marks the line without shutting the frontage in.
At the rear, custom double gates were built to suit the opening. Double gates are the right answer for a wide access point: two lighter leaves hang and stay square far better than one heavy gate ever will.
