Full garden transformation in Cefn Mawr
Old decking, gravel and concrete dug out and replaced with Kandla Grey Indian stone, a charcoal block border and artificial grass.
The job
What we did in Cefn Mawr
The garden was a mix of everything that had been put down over the years: a run of old timber decking at the back with a shed sat on it, a gravel area in the middle and a stretch of slabs and concrete by the house. None of it was level with the rest and none of it was being used.
It all came out. We hired a digger from AT Plant Hire for the dig-out, and rather than skip the old concrete and slabs we ran them through a crusher on site and used the crushed stone as the MOT sub-base under the new patio. Less to cart away, and a solid base without buying it all in.
The new patio is Kandla Grey Indian sandstone laid on a full mortar bed, with a charcoal block border framing a central lawn of artificial grass. The grass gives the garden some green without a mower ever coming out, and the block edge keeps a clean line between the two.
