The whole rear boundary was replaced in one go. Doing a full run rather than patching failing sections is usually the cheaper decision over time — mixing new panels into an old fence leaves you back on site in two years for the next section.

Concrete posts and gravel boards form the base, with feather edge above. Feather edge is built board by board rather than delivered as a pre-made panel, so it copes with sloping ground far better and can follow the fall of the garden without stepping awkwardly.

It is a low-maintenance, durable upgrade that squares the garden up properly.
