The job
What we did in Acton
A gate does two jobs at once: it secures the garden and it is the part of the boundary people actually look at. A sagging or mismatched gate undermines an otherwise decent fence.
This one was built in timber and hung on posts set in concrete, squared to the opening so it swings and latches properly rather than needing a shove.
Treated timber and decent ironmongery mean it will keep working as it should rather than dropping over its first winter.
