Garden landscaping project in Wrexham
An old tree removed, the garden excavated and finished in decorative Black Ice gravel.
The job
What we did in Wrexham
The garden was dominated by an established tree that took most of the light and left the ground beneath it bare. Removing it was the first job, roots included, so nothing would regrow through the new surface.
The area was then excavated and a proper membrane and base put in. Gravel laid straight onto soil sinks into it within a year and weeds come straight through, so the preparation is most of the work here.
Black Ice decorative gravel finished it — a dark, glossy aggregate that looks considerably better than standard pea shingle and stays looking sharp after rain.
