Patio re-grouting in Gobowen
Old joints raked out and the whole patio re-jointed in a mushroom-coloured compound.
The job
What we did in Gobowen
The patio itself was a decent Indian sandstone, but the joints had gone. The original pointing had cracked and washed out, weeds had moved into the gaps and the whole thing looked older than it was.
Honestly, the right fix would be to lift the lot and relay it, because some of the slabs have moved over the years. That wasn't in the budget, so the brief was to make the best of what was there. We raked out every joint, cleaned the patio down and re-jointed it with EASYJoint Select in Mushroom, a brush-in compound that sets hard and keeps the weeds out.
The mushroom colour sits well against the buff and brown tones in the stone, and the customer got a patio that looks cared for again without the cost of a rebuild.
